About HELENA HADJUR

Helena is a French author-composer who grew up between Parisian countryside, Tokyo where she starts playing music and Singapore, before coming back to France.
Her first self-produced EP "Terrien" (Spotify) is released in 2021 with five original French folk songs recorded, and mixed by Helena, in parallel with her studies in environmental policies at Sciences Po Paris. Helena sings about her personal feelings related to the environmental crisis and finds her inspiration in indie-folk and folk rock music from Gael Faure to Bon Iver or Lucie Rose. On her first EP, the guitar playing and the particular attention to vocal harmonies, and electronic strings all create a peaceful atmosphere accompanying her sensitive singing about nature or introspectional questions.

In parallel with music, Helena engaged herself in the climate fight and became a Young Delegate for Climate Change. She participated to COP25 and COP26 alongside the French ministerial delegation. She is now working on the writing of a second EP, as part of her gap year, believing that climate engagement can feed her music while music is a powerful medium to share visions and new ideals.

Lastly, Helena played in Paris at Bateau El Alamein and at l'Etage 75. In 2023 she will play at l'Académie du Climat (28/01/2023) and at the Puzzle Bar (13/01/23).

There is another passion in her life and that is songwriting.

"I started writing lyrics and playing guitar when I was 10 years old. Commitment to the environment and music walk together. My album called Terrien was released in 2021 with five songs inspired by nature amongst other themes."
